Victorian Wedding Dress

An elegant bridal gown from 1840 is draped in white marabou feather trimmings that captivate the imagination and transports the dress into a magical fairy tale scenario. This Victorian white satin wedding dress has a form fitting bodice and a voluminous skirt.

The plain bodice is cut “en V” at the top and bordered with English point lace standing up. A wreath of white marabou extends round the back and shoulders, and forms a stomacher in front.

The wreath is continued in the tunic style on the skirt, but the feathers are much larger. The bridal head-dress features a veil of English point lace, roses, and orange blossoms.
