The layout of this turkish bath features a roof-top sun bathing room, a separate drying room, one room for ladies and another for gentlemen, in addition to the swimming bath area.

In 1856, the first modern Turkish bath was opened in Britain in Britain at St Ann's Hydropathic Establishment near Blarney, County Cork, Ireland. A Turkish bath provided a steam bath  followed by a shower and massage. The next year, the first Turkish bath to be built in England since Roman times was opened in Manchester. The popularity of Turkish baths spread; during the following 150 years, over six hundred Turkish baths opened in Britain.
