Beautiful Early 1800s Child's Indigo Dress
What a wonderful antique dress! How unusual to find an early 1800s child’s dress in such a beautiful indigo blue color. This indigo printed fabric features a striped vine/leaf pattern.
The circa 1800-1815 dress is remarkably simple in structure presenting a straight-front with a low square neck opening.
The circa 1800-1815 dress square neckline has a blue drawstring tie to the front.
The early indigo dress features two sets of drawstring ties to the back which would adjust the fullness of the bodice and allow room for the child to grow.
The long sleeves feature a short capped over-sleeve.
