The Library of Congress

 Each
video clip features a pair of dancers performing specific
dances or movements from selected dance manuals in their collection. From
these videos, we have
chosen the most popular mid-19th century dances and provided
links to each video, plus links to the pages in the manuals that discuss that
particular dance. So gather-up your dancing shoes and be
