During the early 20th century, young girls dressed in the same style wide-brim hats as their mothers. Each millinery creation was lavished with lace, silk ribbons, flowers, and bows to imitate the spectacular Edwardian hats dominating the fashion world during the first decade of the 1900s. The brims were wired to support the layers of frothy ruffles.

This charming large pink silk child's hat features a wired wide brim with gathered netting. It is trimmed with gathered silk ribbon and a delightful cluster of flowers.

1) White Muslin Hat with a crimped frill on top of crown, edged with valenciennes lace, and decorated with an open-work embroidered frill. Wired underbrim. Available in three sizes (19, 20, 21 inch).

2)  Swiss Embroidered Hat with a corded muslin underbrim and an openwork frill. Available in three sizes (19, 20, 21 inch) in white only.

3) Tarlatan Hat with crimped double frills and a full crown with a large bow on front. Valenciennes lace edges bows and frills. Wired underbrim. Available in three sizes (19, 20, 21 inch) in white lace, pink, sky blue, cardinal, and white.

Edwardian Hats from 1905

1) Tarlatan Hat with a silk puff crown and a double frill. The wired underbrim is decorated with two rosettes. Available in three sizes (19, 20, 21 inch) in cream, pink, sky blue, and cardinal silk.

2)  Silk Flop Hat with a stitched embroidered tam crown, valenciennes frilled edge, and an organdy wired underbrim. Available in three sizes (19, 20, 21 inch) in cream silk.
